Position Summary The Debt Management & Analytics Director will be responsible for oversight of all ongoing administration, asset quality and portfolio strategy for loans originated in the division. This position reports to the Sr SRE Debt Manager (Director of Debt Management) and is responsible for ensuring consistency of, among other things, forms, documentation, reporting and analytics across the division by participating with the Division Executive and other SRE leaders in the ongoing evaluation of division best practices to best facilitate increasing efficiency in execution while maintain exceptional asset quality. In addition, this position will act as a key point of contact for the division’s existing portfolio (internally and externally) and responsible for maintaining client relationships alongside the applicable Originator, as well as working closely with Division Executive and internal credit partners to ensure consistent and appropriate implementation of division and/or Bank credit policy across the division’s portfolio. Will participate in motivation, oversight and growth of the Debt Management team, frequent collaboration with Division Executive, division Origination team and internal credit partners, ongoing evaluation and improvement of division and Bank processes/procedures and, in conjunction with Division Executive and executive management, creation and ongoing improvement of real time portfolio analytics tools in order to meet the needs of senior management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Primarily responsible and point of contact for ensuring evolving best practices across the division for administration and analytics of the division portfolio. Strategic focus on and significant understanding and ability to perform oversight, administration and analytics for an assigned portfolio of large, complex real estate credits. Prepares memorandum and facilitates the underwriting/modification of existing portfolio credits and/or renewals (as applicable). Will present recommendations to Division Executive, other SRE leaders and/or loan committee when required exhibiting a deep understanding of credit(s) presented. Ensures adherence to credit policy, guidelines and regulatory requirements in evaluation and/or structuring of credit opportunities. Management of ongoing portfolio review of past dues, exceptions and maturing loan reports. Reports past dues to Division Executive or makes contact to collect payment. Works with Debt Manager and/or Division Executive and/or other SRE leaders (as applicable) to collect items needed for renewal processing. Makes appropriate recommendations for these accounts. Reports deteriorating credit situations to Division Executive and/or executive management as needed. Ensures funding of construction loan disbursements in accordance with bank policy. Works closely with Debt Managers, borrower, title companies and other third parties to ensure accurate disbursements with ongoing monitoring and record keeping. Participates in evaluating risk rating and makes revision recommendations. Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Exceptional ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, policy requirements and/or legal documentation. Advanced ability to read, analyze and interpret financial report and/or legal documents. Advanced experience in writing/preparing complex reports and memos. Advanced experience in presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees in the organization. Education and/or Experience BS/BA Degree in applicable field of study (MBA or advanced degree in applicable field of study preferred); and 10-15+ years’ experience in commercial real estate lending or investing, specifically in an underwriting and/or asset management capacity.
