Job Description

To provide accountable leadership and strategic direction to current and future operating requirements for St John of God Midland Public Hospital (SJGMPH). To establish and maintain strong links with key stakeholders including medical community, government agencies, private health funds, industry bodies, all catholic and other church and charitable hospital operators and the communities we serve. Responsibility Implement the SJGHC five-year strategic plan and all Group strategies across areas of responsibility ensuring that SJGMPH has and enacts a divisional strategic and operational plan. Promote SJGHC in the community through media, personal presentations and participation in key local events. Support growth and development in areas of responsibility, positively responding to the community needs including a focus on social justice and community good. Engage and liaise with key stakeholders in the promotion and advancement of the Vision, Mission and Values and activities of the organisation. Network with external groups to ensure our position within the private healthcare sector is well represented with industry in key areas. Act as an official spokesperson for the organisation as required and as opportunities present. Identify and manage emerging challenges and opportunities using comprehensive and robust analysis. Identify key community, social and environmental issues or impacts and develop strategies to improve performance and outcomes in response. Ensure that all performance outcomes are understood and met in all key result areas (KRAs). Be an influential role model within the organisation for an exemplary service ethos. Promote and encourage a culture of service excellence across all areas of the organisation. Utilise internal and external survey data to drive and influence service delivery models and improvements. Monitor the effective use of resources and maximise revenue as appropriate for the services provided. Promote best practice Occupational Health Safety and Wellness and achieve required levels of performance. Ensure that facility fully complies with the requirements of State and Commonwealth Governments and associated regulatory bodies. Ensure successful completion of all facility developments on time, on budget and achieving proposed outcomes. Ensure any recommendations from internal or external audits are fully implemented. Ensure compliance with delegated authority levels. Encourage community awareness amongst caregivers.
