About the Role The Senior Payroll Specialist will process multi-state payrolls in the United States and the associated activities such as processing 401k files, coordinating payroll tax filings and system setup for multi-state taxes. In addition, the Senior Payroll Specialist will conduct benefit internal audits, create and process payroll journal entries, and perform payroll reconciliations. The Senior Payroll Specialist will also perform other reporting and reconciliations to assist with the goals of the accounting department and the broader business. As the Senior Payroll Specialist, you will provide exceptional organizational and analytical strategies to help continue growth of our fast-paced company by mastering the payroll nuances of the US payroll and international payrolls (Bulgaria, Ireland, India, Panama, and UK). A-LIGN will depend on you as the Senior Payroll Specialist to support management through meticulous data audits, payroll processing tasks, and the performance of critical journal entries and reconciliations that underpin our financial integrity. Reports to Accounting Manager Pay Classification Full-Time, Exempt Responsibilities Execute payroll processing tasks for A-LIGN’s United States operations. Assist with international payrolls (Bulgaria, Ireland, India, Panama, and UK). Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy across US payrolls Partner effectively with both internal departments and external partners to ensure the timeliness of payments and compliance with local regulations Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and other reporting tasks to support the goals of the accounting department Prepare documentation and reconciliations to support annual financial statement audits, benefit audits, and other regulatory reviews Adapt to changing business priorities in a fast-paced environment, identifying and solving problems to support the broader needs of the business Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics or relevant education and experience EXPERIENCE At least 5 years of experience in payroll, including activities in support of:Standard Earnings, Non-standard earnings, Taxes, Benefits, Payments Preferred experience processing payroll for multi-state employees Preferred experience with Workday and CloudPay CERTIFICATIONS Currently possesses a/an certification required/ CPP Licensed preferred SKILLS Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of motivation Excellent communication skills Thrives in a fast-paced environment Ability to work individually as well as collaboratively Benefits Healthcare, Dental, and Vision Benefits Employer Paid Life Insurance and Disability Insurance EAP - Employee Assistance Program Pet Insurance 401(k) Plan with Employer Matching Competitive Bonus Structure Home Office Reimbursement Certification Reimbursement Personalized Career Coaching Generous Paid Time Off Paid Office Closure December 25-January 1 Vacation Bonus Summer Hours About A-LIGN A-LIGN is the leading provider of high-quality, efficient cybersecurity compliance programs.
