Applying to Figma for the Senior UX Designer role feels full-circle — I've spent the last four years designing in Figma every day, and I'd love to help shape the tool itself.
At The New York Times, I led the redesign of the subscriber onboarding experience for 10M+ users. Starting from research (40 user interviews, diary studies across three continents), I synthesised insights into a clear problem framing, prototyped six directions, and shipped an experience that increased subscription activation rates by 24% and reduced first-week cancellations by 17%. I also built and maintained the NYT design system — a shared component library now used by 60 designers across five product teams.
Figma's mission to make design accessible and collaborative deeply resonates with me. I'm particularly excited about the opportunity to work on the editor UX and multiplayer interactions — complex design challenges where craft and systems thinking go hand in hand. My background in both consumer-facing design and design tooling makes me well positioned to contribute.
