Role Summary As a Business Partner - SOx (Business Control Specialist), you will play a key role in supporting and coordinating SOX404 activities across ING entities and global domains. You will work closely with control owners, risk specialists, auditors, and senior stakeholders to strengthen internal controls, drive risk awareness, and ensure compliance with ING's control standards. You'll be part of the Non-Asia Business Partner Services Team within the Control Hub, collaborating with international stakeholders while supporting the rollout and execution of risk and control initiatives across multiple locations and business functions. About the Team You will join a highly collaborative team that works across geographies and functions to support ING's risk and control framework. The team partners with business leaders, control owners, auditors, and subject matter experts to help maintain a robust control environment and drive effective implementation of regulatory and non-financial risk requirements. What You'll Do Coordinate and support annual SOX404 planning and execution activities. Advise entities and global domains on compliance with the ING Group SOX404 approach. Support risk assessments, issue tracking, control execution, monitoring, and quality assessments. Enable control owners in implementing manual and IT application controls across finance and product frameworks. Coordinate audit walkthroughs and ensure audit requirements are effectively addressed. Partner with SMEs, auditors, IT teams, and business stakeholders to drive remediation actions. Facilitate risk assessments aligned with Non-Financial Risk Identification & Assessment procedures. Monitor implementation progress, identify roadblocks, and provide reporting to management. Promote awareness and understanding of risk and controls among senior stakeholders and business teams. Support effective risk mitigation and continuous improvement of the control environment. What You'll Bring At least 5 years of experience in Business Control, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Banking, or related environments. Working knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and COSO Internal Control Framework. Experience in accounting, internal audit, operational risk management, or related disciplines. Proven experience conducting Non-Financial Risk Assessments. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders. Experience working in complex, cross-functional, and international environments. Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative. Preferred Qualifications CPA, CIA, CISA, or an advanced qualification in Risk Management. Experience within a Three Lines of Defense environment. BIG 4 experience is an advantage.
