NLIS is a small, English-based, Christian international school in the beautiful Kofu Valley in Yamanashi Prefecture, approximately 1½ hours from Tokyo. Yamanashi has a low cost of living, so apartments are much less expensive than in other parts of Japan. We will help the teacher find an apartment and with setting up. The teacher will lead a small, combined 1st and 2nd-grade class and will teach Bible, mathematics, science, language arts, social studies, art, music, and physical education. The teacher will attend weekly and monthly teacher meetings, create weekly lesson plans, work on WASC reports, and meet with parents. NLIS is committed to providing students with strong academics in a Christ-centered environment . NLIS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and uses the American curriculum.
