Plain light grey or white background, no shadows on the face or background.

• ✓Full face, front view, eyes open, neutral expression, mouth closed.
• ✓Head centred in the frame, both edges of the face clearly visible.
• ✓Taken within the last 6 months against a plain, light background.
• ✓No head covering unless worn daily for religious reasons — face must stay fully visible.

Sizing follows the standard 35x45mm Schengen specification — individual consulates can add extra requirements, so confirm with the specific embassy or visa centre you're applying through.
