Artera is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to fill the role of National Sales Director. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of our organization, overseeing both sales strategy and execution. You will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Sales to develop and implement initiatives that maximize revenue growth and enhance our market presence. Essential Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. • Build and execute a national comprehensive sales plan. Lead sales team on creation of focused, concise sales plans. Regularly review key milestones, actions and targets. • Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition through innovative approaches. • Actively manage clearly defined strategies, tactics and lead metrics that support the growth goals and profitability. • Recruit, hire, onboard, mentor and train, and inspire a high-performing sales team, setting clear targets and providing guidance to achieve sales goals. Foster a culture of learning, where initiative, innovation and sustained performance is recognized and rewarded. Implement best practices for sales processes, pipeline management, and performance metrics. Maintain a network of top talented sales professionals that are attracted to joining Artera. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams. Foster relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction to achieve sales objectives. • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Utilize insights to refine product offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans. • Drive sales process optimization and initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the sales team. • Collaborate closely with other departments, including reimbursement, billing, operations, marketing, customer success, and clinical strategic partnerships, to align commercial efforts with overall business objectives. Champion a culture of teamwork and collaboration across the organization. • Serve as a sales professional, remain proficient in all areas of product and scientific knowledge. Serve as a product expert with the sales team and with customers. • Lead by example. Conduct frequent 1:1s, field visits with the sales team to understand sales progress and growth. Proactively monitor sales trends against goals, coach to top performance. • Active coordination, attendance and participation at corporate meetings, trade shows and general meetings, as required. • Proactively monitor industry trends, regulatory and reimbursement changes and technology advancements to influence sales strategy and to maintain competitive edge. • Establish and maintain strong internal and customer relationships to drive business growth and new opportunities. • Prepare and run regular team meetings, lead team discussions to drive engagement, foster an environment of shared best practices. • Be a champion of account management to optimally track sales against goals Education and Experience Requirements: • Experience driving sales and building sales teams at startups, specifically medical and AI startups in regulated healthcare markets, with accompanying constraints. • Experience driving sales for both lab-developed tests and medical software • Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles, with extensive experience in sales management and business development. • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans. • Proven track record in driving a culture of accountability. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders. • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and inspiring teams to achieve exceptional results. • Results-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving growth and delivering value to customers. • Experience with breast cancer oncology & biomarkers is highly desirable. • Clear alignment with Artera AI’s values and corporate mission.
