As a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager, you’ll drive growth by building meaningful partnerships with complex commercial clients. You’ll play a key role in expanding our presence through strategic business development and trusted financial guidance. This role offers the opportunity to make a strong impact while mentoring others and contributing to a high-performing team. In this role you'll • Develop new merchant services relationships by partnering with branches, Commercial Banking Centers, Treasury Management, Business Banking, Business Client Management, and Commercial Banking teams. • Follow up on referrals, identify client needs, present merchant services solutions, and convert opportunities into active merchant accounts. • Consult on complex merchant opportunities and ensure accurate merchant onboarding and account setup. • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and internal business partners to support growth and client retention. • Provide sales and technical support by explaining products, answering questions, and serving as a resource for merchant services inquiries. • Prepare pricing comparisons and recommend pricing strategies for prospective and existing merchant relationships. • Troubleshoot and resolve merchant services issues, including escalated and complex client concerns. • Assess merchant risk levels and work with internal and external partners to support approval solutions for higher-risk relationships. • Maintain expertise in merchant services regulations, policies, procedures, and PCI Compliance requirements. • Provide guidance, training, and knowledge sharing to team members and business partners on merchant services products, processes, and best practices. • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, security requirements, and government regulations. What we're looking for • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required). • You have 4+ years of dedicated B2B sales, account management, merchant services, or treasury management experience (Required). • You understand that an equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. What helps you shine • You bring advanced knowledge of merchant services, financial services, consumer credit cards, or commercial credit card products. • Have a strong track record of consultative sales, business development, and relationship management success. • Communicate effectively and confidently with clients, business partners, and team members. • You excel at prospecting, generating new business opportunities, and advancing sales conversations through phone and email outreach. • You are highly organized and demonstrate strong time management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. • You are proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel. • You understand federal and state regulations related to merchant services and payment processing. • Enjoy serving as a trusted subject matter expert and sharing knowledge with others.
