Tokyo Children’s Garden is an innovative and forward-thinking international preschool in the heart of Tokyo. Reggio Emilia inspired with Japanese influences, we cater for children aged 2-6 in a beautiful and spacious setting. We are looking for teachers who have a passion for learning themselves, who are open minded and can think outside the box. If you are an Early Years teacher who is up for a challenge, work well in a team, not afraid of hard work and want to become a better teacher, then we are the school for you! While this is advertised as a full-time position, we are open to discussing part-time arrangements for the right candidate. Benefits We are a small, family oriented bilingual school with a multi-age classroom. Our small class size, in combination with many teachers, allows for daily small group projects based on the children’s interests, including trips to the aquarium, the zoo and museums around Tokyo. We enjoy daily outside adventures and explore the beautiful wilderness of Arisugawa Park, which is just a short walk from the school. Every day is exciting and unexpected! Hisao and Ann, the founders of the school, have more than 35 years of combined experience in the early years. Hisao is the director of the Association of International Early Childhood Education. Ann is on the board of the Tokyo Association of International preschools and provides PD for teachers in Tokyo and around Japan. We provide our teachers with a wealth of PD opportunities throughout the year and have hands on training every day. We believe that this training will be a benefit for ambitious teachers who have high career goals as this is the type of education needed for the future.
